CAF President, Dr. Patrice Motsepe, will be in Maputo, the capital of Mozambique, on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 for the official launch of CAF’s Pan-African School Programme.

In the morning, President Motsepe accompanied by the President of the Mozambique Football Federation, Feizal Sidat, and the General Secretary of CAF, Veron Mosengo-Omba, will travel to Pemba, Cabo Delgado, in the north of the country, to visit a refugee camp where CAF will donate football equipment.

The CAF President will then preside over the official launch festivities in the afternoon at the Costa do Sol stadium in Maputo alongside football leaders from Mozambique and the COSAFA region as well as the government of the Southern African country.

The event in Mozambique is a historic step in promoting the first major school football program in Africa.

The Pan-African Schools Program is a CAF development project harnessing the opportunities of football to holistically promote the development of young boys and girls on the African continent.

Details on the organization of the championships and the related programs will be revealed during the launch.

CAF will publish the program of the visit of the CAF President and the official launch of the school program later.
