The New York Islanders have placed forwards Anders Lee and Ross Johnston on COVID-19 protocols, the club announced on Friday.
Lee, 31, has appeared in 12 games for the Islanders this year, scoring four goals and recording 31 shots on goal. Johnston only played one game and scored no points.
The Islanders kick off a four-game home game starting Saturday night. This is the first game played in the Islanders’ new arena, the UBS Arena.
“It’s pretty surreal to be honest,” Lee told the New York Post earlier this week. “Since a lot of guys have been here for a long time, a lot of guys are talking about a lot of different things. Different arenas and half seasons in places, it’s always one of those talking points you have.
