The Injuries are likely to be a big part of the Lakers season in 2022-23, and the first domino has already fallen. One of the newcomers ended the match against the Timberwolves on the sidelines, and an absence is already scheduled for the Purples and Golds…
Certainly LeBron James was in tune with 25 points at 9/12 shooting, but the Lakers still lost to the Timberwolves yet without Rudy Gobert or Karl-Anthony Towns. A disappointing result, and the fans will not be more reassured after the new controversial sequence around Russell Westbrook. To make matters worse, we also witnessed the injury exit of Lonnie Walker IV during the third quarter:

Lonnie Walker IV already injured in the ankle
Arrived from Spurs during the summer, the guard was however well launched in the meeting since he had already accumulated 12 points and 3 rebounds before falling badly. It didn’t take long before we had the right to a first diagnosis, relayed by Dave McMenamin ofESPN. A priori, we would therefore leave on a sprain for LWIV, without however knowing how long he will have to stay on the sidelines without being able to help his people:
Darvin Ham terms it a “mild” left ankle sprain for Lonnie Walker. A source familiar with the injury told ESPN that Walker is not experiencing any swelling or overt pain. Walker will be re-evaluated on Thursday, Ham said.

Obviously, the outcome could have been much worse because despite this injury, the leader should quickly be able to play again for Los Angeles. But between LeBron James and Anthony Davis who regularly squat the infirmary and this new physical glitch, injuries could seriously hamper the ambitions of the Purples and Golds this year. On the fan side, we are therefore already quite disappointed:
Just please for the love of god.

For God’s sake out of mercy
The regular season has not yet started and Lonnie Walker is already dealing with a sprained ankle. It’s off to a bad start for the Lakers rookie, who still has to fight for his minutes in the California backcourt rotation.
