NBA: Sacramento Kings dismiss coach Luke Walton

« After a full review of the season so far, I have decided to make a change to the coaching position.« It was with these words that Sacramento Kings general manager Monte McNair announced the sacking of struggling franchise coach Luke Walton. With a record of six wins for eleven losses, the Kings are far from qualifying places for The play-offs Worse, they lost seven of their last eight games last Saturday against Rudy Gobert’s Utah Jazz 123-105.

Walton arrived on the Kings bench in April 2019 after three years with the Los Angeles Lakers, but failed to qualify the franchise for the play-offs, which it hasn’t known for fifteen years.
