NBA: Raptors sign Justin Champagnie to multi-season deal
TORONTO – The Toronto Raptors have signed forward Justin Champagnie to a multi-year contract.
Details of the deal were not disclosed, but several outlets reported that it is a two-year deal with partial guarantees in the first season.
Champagnie averaged 2.3 points and two rebounds in just under eight minutes of play in 36 outings with the Raptors last season.
He did well in the G-League with the 905 Raptors, averaging 21.1 points and 8.3 rebounds in 14 games. He averaged 36 minutes per game.
Champagnie signed a two-way contract with the Raptors last summer after two NCAA campaigns at the University of Pittsburgh.
He didn’t play in the summer league this summer, even though he’s on the Raptors’ roster, because he suffered a broken thumb in his left hand.
