NBA: it’s over for Clint Capela and the Hawks –

Finalist in the Eastern Conference last year, Atlanta was eliminated in the first round of the playoffs. Clint Capela’s Hawks were out in five games by Miami.

Tuesday in Act V, the Georgia franchise lost 97-94 on the floor of the Heat, seeded No. 1 in the East. Miami was however deprived of two of its best players, Jimmy Butler and Kyle Lowry, injured.

The Heat once again made the difference thanks to their defense. Hawks star leader Trae Young has had the bitter experience of it: he averaged 15.4 points in this series, scoring only 11 points on Tuesday. In five matches, he will have accumulated as many ball losses as assists (30).

Too much pain for Capela

« They’re a hell of a team, these guys fight every second they’re on the pitch and I have a lot of respect for the way they play« Hawks coach Nate McMillan said of the Heat, who will face either Philadelphia or Toronto in the next round.

Forfeited for the first three matches due to a right knee injury, Clint Capela did not finish this meeting. The Geneva pivot left the field for good 6’31 » from the end of the 3rd quarter due to insurmountable pain. He had 2 points and 8 rebounds in 19 minutes on the floor.
