NBA history will change with the MyNBA Eras

With NBA 2K23’s MyNBA Eras, there’s no need to wonder « what if » when considering what could have happened in NBA history.

Key elements from NBA’s Greatest have been incorporated into the popular MyNBA mode, now called MyNBA Erasin NBA 2K23 (for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, only). In this mode exclusively for PS5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles, players have complete control over the NBA across four decades of basketball, and the freedom to alter the history of the sport to create their own star-studded alternate universes with new jerseys, never-before-seen rivalries, and entirely new dynasties our world has never known.

The MyNBA Eras of NBA 2K23

Each era has benefited from several updates to recreate the atmosphere of the time. Each team has at least one unique field with unique uniforms. Additionally, an era-specific filter system has been designed to recreate the TV experience of these matches as they originally aired, and every team expansion and franchise relocation is factored into the Game.

• The Magic vs. Bird Era: Propelled to the 1980s, players will be able to relive the rivalry between Magic Johnson and Larry Bird, but also rewrite NBA history by drafting players like Michael Jordan or Akeem Olajuwon in unexpected teams
• The Jordan Era: Behind the scenes of the Chicago Bulls’ rise to claim 1990s basketball supremacy. Unprecedented competition could change history…
• The Kobe Era: During the 2000s, a new generation of talent emerged in the West including Tim Duncan and the San Antonio Spurs, Kevin Garnett and the Minnesota Timberwolves, Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks, and finally the iconic Kobe Bryant aka Black Mamba and the Los Angeles Lakers. The legendary draft of 2003 could become very different depending on the choices made by the players
• The Modern Era: The previous MyNBA experience is now dubbed the Modern Era. Long-time fans of this mode can start with the newest rosters available and enjoy the traditional MyNBA experience

NBA 2K23 will be released on September 9 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
