NBA: Capela finishes best rebounder of the regular season –

Atlanta finished the regular season in 5th place in the NBA Eastern Conference. The Hawks were fixed on their fate before their last game, easily won 124-95 against Houston. Clint Capela also finished best rebounder in the League at the end of the regular season.

The New York Knicks had indeed secured 4th place by beating Boston 96-92 earlier in the day. They have the same record as Atlanta (41-31), but are ahead of the Hawks thanks to three successes celebrated in three direct confrontations this season.

Capela – who was not lined up on Sunday – and his teammates will come up against the Knicks of Julius Randle in the first round of the playoffs. Knicks who will have the advantage of the floor in a series that will start next weekend.

Capela was the top rebounder in the League at the end of this regular season, with 14.3 catches per game. The Geneva pivot, who also shot 15.2 points and 2 blocks per game, is the first Hawks player since Dikembe Mutombo (1999/2000) to win the title of best rebounder.
