NBA: Capela and the Hawks to a success of the second round –

Atlanta is one berth in the quarterfinals of the NBA playoffs. Clint Capela and the Hawks lead 3-1 against the New York Knicks, which they outscored 113-96 in Georgia.

Clint Capela had 10 points and 15 rebounds, signing his second double in this series, the second in a row. Also author of 2 assists, the Geneva pivot ended this meeting with a differential of +19, the 2nd highest of his team after Bogdan Bogdanovic (+29).

Led once again by their leader Trae Young (27 points, despite a weak 4/14 to 3 points, and 9 assists), the Hawks forced the decision back from the locker room. They started the 3rd quarter on a 15-5 partial which allowed them to widen a first gap (68-54), and did not release the pressure.

Atlanta, which picked up its 13th straight home win, will have a match point Wednesday at Madison Square Garden in New York. The Hawks have not won a series in the playoffs since the 2015/2016 financial year, while Thabo Sefolosha still defended their colors.
