NBA: another memorable evening for LeBron James

LeBron James climbed to fourth place for the most NBA career assists on Tuesday night against the New York Knicks.

The Los Angeles Lakers winger added 11 assists to his record in a game at Madison Square Garden, passing Mark Jackson (10,334) and Steve Nash (10,335) with 10,338.

“It’s amazing, because that’s exactly what I like to do: involve my teammates. I’m happy to be linked with some of the greats for sure,” James said in a press briefing following a 129-123 win.

Chris Paul, who is still active, Jason Kidd and John Stockton with 11,246, 12,091 and 15,806 assists respectively are ahead of him.

Moreover, the star player moved closer to another mark thanks to his 28 points in this game. He misses 89 points to match NBA all-time point guard Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who finished his career with 38,387 points.
