National League: NHL transfer deal approved – rts.ch

Announced a few weeks ago, the transfer agreement between the NHL and the Swiss federation has been approved by the NHL board of directors. This agreement is valid for one year.

This means that Swiss players who would be signed by an NHL club would bring money to their club.

Among the players in the championship who could interest franchises across the Atlantic, we can obviously mention the Zurich player Pius Suter or Tristan Scherwey. The latter had also participated in the camp of the Ottawa Senators last September. And without a contractual obligation to return to Bern, he might have been able to taste the NHL.

The Swiss clubs must meet on May 11 to discuss various things and in particular the possible compensation in the event of the loss of a player.
