Nashville SC can’t beat the Fire

Nashville SC were unable to defeat one of Major League Soccer (MLS) worst teams, the Chicago Fire, Sunday afternoon at Soldier Field.

The two teams played a 0-0 draw.

This comes as a surprise, considering Nashville sits second in the Eastern Conference standings and the Illinois club are 12th. The Fire had also suffered loss in their last four outings.

One of the best saves of this duel belongs to Chicago goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina. In the 74th minute, he deftly pitched in to blog a close range shot from a rival. The 17-year-old rounded off his clash with four saves to sign his second shutout in five games this season.

At the other end of the pitch, goaltender Joe Willis was challenged three times and got his 11th shutout in 2021.
