Nashville Predators trade Viktor Arvidsson to LA Kings


The LA Kings acquired scoring winger Viktor Arvidsson from the Nashville Predators.

In exchange, the Kings gave up a second and third round pick in 2021 and 2022, respectively.

Arvidsson, 28, was drafted by the Predators in the fourth round of the 2014 NHL Draft and has spent his entire career with the team. In 385 career games, he has scored 127 goals and 239 points.

The last two years have seen his offensive production. His production in all situations has gone from almost two-thirds of a point per game to half a point per game.

Despite this, he remained a productive player. At 5 × 5 last season with Arvidsson on the ice, the Predators controlled 53.63 percent of shooting attempts, 59.62 percent of goals and 53.18 percent of expected goals – all numbers are five. ten percent above the team average.

Arvidsson has three years left on a deal paying him an AAV of $ 4.25 million. No salary is supposed to be withheld in this agreement.
