Nashville Predators Alexandre Carrier to miss 4-6 weeks with upper body injury
Nashville Predators president of hockey operations and general manager David Poile announced that defenseman Alexandre Carrier will be out for four to six weeks with an upper-body injury.

Carrier was unable to complete Tuesday night’s 2-1 win over the Winnipeg Jets and was noted day by day. Carrier recorded just 4:40 of ice time and found himself in a fight with 6-foot-8 Logan Stanley during the first period.
The 26-year-old has eight points (two goals, six assists) in 40 games this season. Last season, he became a staple on the Preds blue line and had 30 points (three goals, 27 assists) in 77 games, as well as three assists in four playoff games. He was named to the NHL All-Rookie Team. The Quebec native was selected in the fourth round of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft and, although he had a brief two-game stint in the 2016-17 campaign, he only became a roster regular. in 2020-21. During his career, Carrier had 41 points (six goals, 35 assists) in 141 regular season games.
Additionally, the Predators announced that they had called up Kevin Gravel from their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals. The 30-year-old played four games for the Predators this season but spent most of the year with the Admirals where he had 10 points (one goal, nine assists) in 36 games. During his 113-game NHL career, Gravel made saves in Los Angeles, Edmonton and Toronto.
