Choice of Wawa 250 NASCAR DFS for DraftKings
Jeb Burton, 13th ($ 9,400 DraftKings) Austin Cindric, 14th ($ 8,800 DraftKings) Christopher Bell, 15th ($ 8,900 DraftKings)
This trio of Burton, Cindric and Bell makes a tournament level of dumped potential winners.
Burton is Talladega’s most recent winner and finished fourth at Daytona in February. Not to mention that Kaulig has always had a strong superspeedway program in its short existence. Cindric won this year’s first race at Daytona, finished second at Talladega and has several top 10s to his name at both venues. Bell, although he didn’t have any superspeedway victories during his Xfinity career, managed to grab several top-six rankings.
Playing one or more of these pilots will be off the radar of most DFS players as they are deemed too risky. However, last summer’s optimal roster had two drivers who both started in the top 10. These three all have a larger place differential and have the potential to finish in the top five or even an outright victory. simple. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Bell and Cindric are both +800 for the win and -105 for a top-five spot. Meanwhile, Burton is at +1200 for the win and +170 for a top five.
Michael Annett, 19th ($ 9,800 DraftKings)
Unlike the Cup Series, the Xfinity Series regular season won’t end tonight. However, after missing last week’s race, the temperature rose for Annett. For those who don’t know, Annett suffered a leg injury earlier in the summer that forced him to undergo surgery to fix the problem. While recovering from this operation, Annett must have missed a few races. These absences put him in a points hole, now 41 points behind Riley herbst for last place in the playoffs. An outright win will alleviate any points issue for Annett. However, a good end of Friday will go a long way to closing this points gap.
According to Annett, he is a former Daytona (2019) winner who finished seventh in that race last summer and crossed the line in second place at Talladega last fall.
Brandon Brown, 31st ($ 10,100 DraftKings)
Paying that salary for this driver may seem absurd. However, be aware that DraftKings is aware that its user will stack their backs. That’s why DFS players pay over $ 10,000 for a pilot in mid-level gear.

Having said that, it’s really not that absurd to ask Brown for that salary. Brown’s career at Daytona started off hard, with consecutive wrecks in 2017 and 2018. However, since then his arrivals have dropped to 18th, seventh, seventh, 26th and sixth. In addition, in four career starts at Talladega, he finished 15th, 11th, 10th and seventh. If it weren’t for the driver below, Brown could easily get Friday night’s fantastic best score thanks to that abundance of potential place differential.
Chase Briscoe, 37th ($ 11,500 DraftKings)
Race for BJ McLeod in what will literally be a second Stewart-Haas car, Briscoe gets off to a good start in the Xfinity series. Whatever the motive, it doesn’t necessarily matter, as Briscoe has the best floor and ceiling combo of anyone on Friday. Starting at the 37th position, Briscoe has access to the highest place differential potential of all. Add in his real opportunity to lead laps and fight for victory (third and fifth in last year’s two Xfinity races at Daytona), then it becomes a given. The only problem for Briscoe will be his property, which is considered one of the highest on Friday’s list. Passing, matching or passing under field ownership on Briscoe is going to be one of the biggest decisions for DFS players today.
Tim Viens, 40th ($ 5,500 DraftKings)
Viens has spent most of his short Trucks Series career purchasing available siege time. This week, just his fourth Xfinity career start, Veins takes the wheel of No.74 for Mike Harmon. This will be Viens’ second start in the Xfinity series at Daytona for Mike Harmon. In last year’s summer race, Viens finished 18th. A similar finish would be fantastic, but anything that marks a 10-place differential will be a net win for gambling.
