3. Basketball – NBA: Doncic passes 41 in triple double to afford the Nets
A great night Luka Doncic, author of a triple-double to 41 points and a few magic tricks of which he has the secret, guided the Mavericks to victory at the Nets (129-125 after overtime). The 23-year-old Slovenian prodigy was among the favorites in the race for the regular season MVP, even before he started. Formula 1 – Mexican GP : Under contract until the end of 2023, seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton intends to sign a « multi-year » contract with Mercedes, he confirmed on the sidelines of the Mexico Grand Prix.
Tennis – ATP and WTA: The 2023 tennis season will begin with a new mixed event, the United Cup, organized in Australia between December 29 and January 8, the ATP and WTA have announced.
Basketball-NBA: The Golden State Warriors, reigning NBA champions, are now the most valuable franchise in the league with an estimate of $7 billion established by Forbes magazine, dethroning the New York Knicks.
Tennis – Basel ATP 500 : Holger Rune easily won against Frenchman Ugo Humbert 6-4, 6-2, in the second round of the ATP 500 tournament in Basel, offering himself a place in the quarter-finals, just like Stan Wawrinka, winner of Brandon Nakashima (6-4, 5-7, 6-4).
Handball – Champions League : Nantes got the better of the Germans from Kiel (38-30) on the fifth day of the C1. A victory which allows the « H » to continue their series of invincibility at home in the group stage but above all to stay in contact with Kielce and the Barcelona leader for a direct place in the quarter-finals.
