Moussa Djitté (Austin FC) joins AC Ajaccio on loan
A year and a half after leaving MLS for Austin, Moussa Djitté is returning to France, where he signed on loan with AJ Ajaccio.
Moussa Djitté will discover the French Ligue 1. After shining for two seasons in the colors of Grenoble, the 23-year-old Senegalese striker joined Major League Soccer (MLS) and Austin FC in the summer of 2021. The former Niarry Tally player did not really succeed in simpose in the North American Championship.
In 33 games with Austin FC, he scored just six goals and provided two assists. But in search of offensive reinforcement, AC Ajaccio was convinced by the 23-year-old player. The Corsican club, currently 18th in Ligue 1, has secured the services of the Kaolackois under theme a loan, without specifying whether it includes a purchase option.
