Power: 'Not a great moment'

Will Power won his second IndyCar title this year, after several difficult seasons. The Penske driver, however, tempered the joy of having won this second crown in the American single-seater championship.

« It’s not something huge » Power said. « Crossing the finish line wasn’t as great a moment as I had when I won the Indianapolis 500, or when I won my first championship. »

Assuring that he is not jaded by this success, the 41-year-old Australian especially wants to confirm this return to form next year by achieving such good results. For that, he will first have to beat his teammates, Josef Newgarden and Scott McLaughlin, and he is already focusing on that.

« I just felt that thought going to me ‘job done, what’s next?’ thinking about next year. I just can’t help it. »
