Monday Night Football FanDuel Picks: NFL DFS Composition Tips for Lions-Packers Week 2 Tournaments
The Packers and Lions face off Monday night, each looking for their first win of the season. Vegas sportsbook opened the Lions as a 10.5-point heavy underdog with an over / under 49. The Lions made a respectable effort in Week 1. However, this is more widely regarded as an opportunity for the Packers to bounce back from being humiliated by the Saints last week. They’ll definitely want to squeeze out any lingering aftertaste from last week’s bombing by putting on an offensive show, which is exactly what these NFL DFS contests are looking for. Our FanDuel line of simple games has a slight leaning towards the Packers, but a few choices of Lions will be the key to our quest for money.
Before we get into our roster, here is a reminder of FanDuel’s scoring system for single game competitions: the point total for the « MVP » is multiplied by 1.5, but it does not cost any additional money. as the « Captain » in DraftKings Showdown Contest. FanDuel’s default score is PPR half point and Four point pass TD , and there is no bonus for 300 yard / 100 yard games like on DraftKings.

FanDuel Single Game DFS Picks: Lions vs Packers
Budget of $ 60,000, need at least one player from each team
MVP (1.5x points): QB Jared Goff, Lions ($ 14,500)
We are trying to position ourselves to take advantage of low ownership and high rating potential. It won’t take a miracle for Goff to outmatch Aaron Rodgers – even in a losing effort – especially considering the racing game the Packers boast about. The Lions may not win much this season, but don’t be surprised if they are more productive offensively than the mainstream had anticipated throughout the offseason. Just look at Goff’s figures on garbage time last week.

FLEX: WR Davante Adams, Packers ($ 15,000)
We don’t have Rodgers in this lineup, but we’re still going to muster a huge chunk of their offense. It starts with Rodgers’ best target in the passing game. The Lions will be without starting cornerback Jeff Okudah (Achilles), which only makes things easier for Adams on paper.
PLUS MNF DFS: DraftKings Showdown Range
FLEX: RB Aaron Jones, Packers ($ 12,500)
Threat on the ground and in the air, Jones believes he is busy Monday night. He has eclipsed more than 20 FD points nine times since 2019 and is a strong candidate to do so again in this game.
FLEX: TE TJ Hockenson, Lions ($ 11,000)
If last week is any indication – and we think it is – Hockenson will indeed serve as the Lions’ WR1. The third-year tight end had 10 targets and finished with an 8-97-1 line. The Saints had some success targeting their tight ends against Green Bay last week, and we expect Goff and Co. to follow suit.
FLEX: RB AJ Dillon, Packers ($ 7,000)
There’s a good chance we’ll look back on the 2021 season and realize that Dillon was more of a sidekick than a replacement. After all, head coach Matt LaFleur has shown his willingness to give both fullbacks a fantastic workload in both Green Bay and Tennessee. If the game plays out like a convincing Packers win, Dillon should have enough work to do to deliver a hard-hitting fantastic performance.
