MLS: Union get away with 1 point thanks to a goal from Jakob Glesnes in stoppage time
Atlanta United appeared to be heading for victory but a goal from Jakob Glesnes in stoppage time saw the Philadelphia Union save themselves with a point on the road in a 2-2 draw on Sunday at the Mercedez- Benz Stadium.
Atlanta took a 2-0 lead thanks to a goal from Kacper Przybylko in his own net and a header from Anton Walkes in the 58th and 83rd minutes respectively.
Forward Cory Burke gave his team a boost a minute later on a comeback.
Then Glesnes put the finishing touches on a precise and powerful shot from far into the skylight, to the right of goalkeeper Bradley Guzan.
Philly is still undefeated on the road this season.
The Union is currently third in the Eastern Conference while Atlanta is ninth, just behind CF Montreal.
