MLS top scorer Valentin Castellanos joins Girona on loan / Spain / Girona / SOFOOT.com

Two City Football Group clubs, New York City FC in MLS and Girona, promoted to the Spanish first division, have reached an agreement for the loan of Valentin Castellanos. It’s a first big jump in Europe for the 23-year-old Argentinian striker who has splashed the American championship for two years. Top scorer last season with 22 goals, Taty already had 13 goals in 17 games in the current season, which makes him the co-top scorer.

Castellanos had been trained at the Universidad del Chile, before joining Uruguay and Montevideo City Torque then the States. Spain will therefore become the fourth country in which he should shake the nets.
