HOUSTON — The Houston Dynamo have fired head coach Paulo Nagamura and promoted, on an interim basis, Kenny Bundy, who served in the same role with Dynamo’s second team.
The Texas squad announced the change on Monday. The Dynamo sit last in the MLS Western Conference with a record of eight wins, 16 losses and five draws for a total of 29 points.
Among the 28 teams that make up the league’s executives, DC United, with its 26 points, is the only team to have done worse so far.
Nagamura, a Brazilian who played in MLS between 2005 and 2016, was hired in January to replace Tab Ramos.
Bundy, 41, will stay on until the end of the season.
