MLS teams in the European Supercup?

Although many will say that it is not the priority, European football’s governing body appears to be planning to invite American teams to play against their continental champions.

As reported The Guardian, American teams could soon face the winners of the UEFA Champions League in what appears to be a revamped Super Cup, envisaged by the European football body. Indeed, following what has been described as ‘background talk’, football fans could soon see a four-team season-opening event that would replace the traditional UEFA Super Cup.

As for the participants, there would of course be the usual two teams, namely the winners of the Champions League and the Europa League, but they would now be joined by Europa Conference League winners and Major League Soccer winners.
