MLS Philadelphia Union to face Ryan Reynolds, Rob McElhenney owned Wrexham
Wrexham AFC, which is owned by actors Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds, will travel to the United States for a preseason friendly against Major League Soccer team Philadelphia Union in July, the club announced on Friday.
The club, which finished eighth in the 23-team National League, have been out of the English Football League (EFL) since relegation to the Fifth Division in 2008.

McElhenney and Reynolds, however, have vowed to turn the club into a ‘global force’ which included a £ 2million injection at the end of their takeover in November.
Wrexham will meet the Union as the centerpiece of a five-day training camp on July 29.
The club will launch their new strip away during the match.
In addition to the training camp and game, McElhenney will also be hosting a community event with the Union that will involve several city charities.
A statement from Wrexham added that it is likely the two actors will be at the game together to watch the squad for the first time.
