Piatti left the Montreal Impact in 2020, after having played there between 2014 and 2019. He marked the history of the Montreal concession by being the most prolific scorer, with 66 goals in 135 games.
On February 10, 2020, the Montreal team announced that the contract with Piatti would be terminated by mutual agreement and that the Argentinian would join the San Lorenzo team, where he played before coming to Montreal.
Piatti’s second stint at San Lorenzo lasted just a few months as he left the team earlier this year.
