MLS: Minnesota gives Sounders a taste of first loss this season

Minnesota United ended the Seattle Sounders’ unbeaten streak to start the campaign as they won 1-0 on Sunday.

Robin Lod rocked the strings to inflict a first loss to the Sounders in 14 games. Lod redirected a discount from Niko Hansen after he was missed in the box in the 81st minute.

Seattle got their fair share of scoring chances in the game, but Raul Ruidiaz and Jimmy Medranda were held back by goaltender Tyler Miller. Xavier Arreaga thought he had given the Sounders control of the game in the 75th minute, but a header was refused for offside.

The Sounders are still 8-1-5 this season.
