Toronto FC announced the hiring of Bob Bradley as head coach and athletic director on Wednesday.
The 63-year-old, who is the father of team captain Michael Bradley, left Los Angeles FC last Thursday after completing the last campaign with a 12-13-9 record good for ninth overall. ‘Western Association and missed the playoffs by three points.
TFC concluded the season with a 6-18-10 record which put them in the 26e and penultimate place in the general classification, one year after concluding the previous campaign at 2e echelon. This poor performance led to the dismissals of general manager Ali Curtis and head coach Javier Perez earlier this week.
Bradley, who previously led the US and Egyptian national teams, is 182-127-86 in his career in MLS. His 182 victories place him at 3e rank in MLS history behind Bruce Arena and Sigi Schmid.
