MLS: Lionel Messi will wear captain’s armband for Miami, coach announces

A few days after his absolutely heroic appearance on the scene in the colors of Inter Miami CF, the Argentinian Lionel Messi received a mark of respect from the club’s coach.

Tata Martino announced on Tuesday that Messi will now act as captain of the Florida team.

Inter Miami CF started the season winning their first two games on the MLS schedule; since then it shows a record of 3-14-3.

Messi’s contract will be for two and a half seasons. The famous No. 10 will receive between 50 and 60 million dollars a year.
