MLS – Federico Bernardeschi is Toronto’s third Italian rookie

Free after the end of his contract with Juventus, Federico Bernardeschi has signed up with Toronto FC, the Canadian club of Major League Soccer (MLS), the North American football league, announced on Friday.

Bernardeschi, 28, had been with Juventus since 2017. He played 183 games for the Italian club, compiling 12 goals and 24 assists. He won three Italian league titles and two Italian Cups with the Old Lady. The Italian international (39 caps) is Toronto’s third Italian rookie after Lorenzo Insigne and Domenico Criscito. (Belga)
