CF Montreal is currently playing its second game at Stade Saputo in 2021 when it hosts Atlanta United FC.
The score is tied 2-2 in a hectic second half.
After a scoreless first half, both teams scored a total of three goals in the first 20 minutes of the second period.
Mason Toye first opened the scoring in the 53rd minute on a pass from Joaquin Torres.
Rudy Camacho doubled the lead with his first goal of the season in the 63rd following a corner kick.
Josef Martinez replied two minutes later for Atlanta.
Martinez attacked once again in the 73rd, but Camacho was fouled in the box which cost him a red card.
Marcelino Moreno then equalized from the penalty spot.
A few minutes later, red cards were awarded to a player from both teams – Victor Wanyama for Montreal and Martinez for Atlanta – following a stampede.
Seventh in the East, Montreal is trying to end a three-game losing streak against a team that has only two wins in 16 games this season.
Atlanta hasn’t signed a win in its last 11 games. His last win dates back to May 15 against the Onze montréalais.
