The competition will be held at T-Mobile Park in Seattle on July 10, with the All-Star Game taking place the following day.
Guerrero will participate in the event for the second time in his career. In his rookie year in 2019, he set a meet record by hitting 91 homers. However, he lost in the final to Pete Alonso.
The Toronto Blue Jays first baseman, however, is having a disappointing season in terms of batting power. The Montreal-born Dominican has hit just 11 long balls in 78 games.
Guerrero joins Julio Rodriguez in the announced participants for the home runs show. J-Rod accepted the invitation for the second time and will be able to try to win the trophy in front of his supporters in Seattle.
