MLB: The All-Star Game back in Toronto?
The Toronto Blue Jays are in talks with Major League Baseball regarding the possibility of hosting the All-Star Game at Rogers Center in 2027.
This is what the Sportsnet network said. Certainly, nothing is determined in this file and some conditions will probably have to be met for the realization of the project.
Thus, the home of the Jays must undergo major renovations, these must be completed in 2024. In particular, the works to be carried out at various levels of the infrastructure aim to make the customer experience more pleasant.
The Queen City hosted the classic in 1991, just over two years after the official opening of the stadium formerly known as the Skydome. Only one other star game has been held outside the United States: the 1982 game, played at Montreal’s Olympic Stadium under the eyes of 59,000 spectators.
Next year, Seattle will host the event. For 2024 and 2025, the destinations are not yet known. The Philadelphia Phillies will receive the stars in 2026.
