MLB – Receiver Russell Martin in no rush to sign
Quebecer Russell Martin, who is a free agent, does not plan to agree with a club to start the 2021 season, but nevertheless keeps a door open for a possible return to Major Baseball, reports Jon Morosi of MLB Network.
Morosi points out that the receiver could don the uniform of Canada during the qualifying tournament for the Olympic Games in Tokyo.

Martin played his last Major Baseball campaign in 2019 with the Los Angeles Dodgers. He has six home runs and 20 RBIs in 83 games.
He previously wore the Toronto Blue Jays colors for four seasons. He also played with the Pittsburgh Pirates and the New York Yankees.
