The Philadelphia Phillies have signed shortstop Trea Turner to an 11-year contract valued at $300 million.
Last year, the 29-year-old hit .298 with the Los Angeles Dodgers with 21 homers, 100 RBIs and 27 stolen bases. His number of home runs and RBIs are personal highs.
Turner began his career with the Washington Nationals in 2015, winning the World Series with that roster in 2019.
Midway through the 2021 season, he was traded to the Dodgers along with pitcher Max Scherzer.
