MLB: Injured in the right wrist, Julio Rodriguez is placed on the sidelines
The Seattle Mariners announced Sunday that after an X-ray test, Julio Rodriguez has been added to the injured list. The star outfielder was hit by a shot during the game against the Houston Astros on Saturday night.
« The tests were negative, but he’s in a lot of pain, » said team manager Scott Servais. I think you have to be careful with this kind of injury. It’s a sensitive spot for a batter when he’s at bat. We want to do things the right way and make sure he’s fully recovered when he returns to play. »
Following the incident during Saturday’s game, it was Quebecer Abraham Toro who came to strike in place of Rodriguez and it was he who played the heroes in the 9th inning when the score was 4- 3 in favor of the Astros. Toro hit a two-run single to restore the lead.
