MLB: Fernando Tatis son involved in minor accident
San Diego Padres star Fernando Tatis Jr. was reportedly involved in a minor traffic accident in the Dominican Republic, but he would not suffer any major injuries according to Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union Tribune.
The latter was based on information from Dominican journalist Baudilio Jimenez. Tatis fils was reportedly taken to hospital to treat minor injuries. A motorcycle is believed to be among the vehicles involved, but it is not clear whether Tatis was the driver.
The Padres cannot comment on the case of their star shortstop due to the lockout which prevents any contact between the organizations and their players. Tatis concluded last season with 42 home runs in 130 games.
