MLB: Dustin May’s season is over

Bad news for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Pitcher Dustin May is due to undergo Operation Tommy John on Tuesday.

May injured her right elbow against the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday. He had to leave the game after only one and two-thirds inning.

He was first placed on the 10-day injured list, but his season is now over.

He ended his season with a record of one win and one loss in five starts. He struck out 35 batters in 23 innings with an earned run average of 2.74 and a WHIP of .957.

A third-round pick in 2016, he was playing his third season in the Majors.
