The New York Mets are currently identifying potential manager candidates.
Buck Showalter and Curtis Granderson are on the list, reports Jon Heyman of MLB Network.
Heyman points out that Showalter’s name is high on this list. The 65-year-old led four different organizations in his 20 years in the Majors, starting with the New York Yankees between 1992 and 1995. He then joined the Diamonbacks and Rangers before working with the 2010 Baltimore Orioles. to 2018.
He has won Manager of the Year three times and is 1551-1517 in the regular season.
The Mets will have the right to interview and hire despite the MLB lockout.
