MLB: Boston Red Sox release outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Boston Red Sox released outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. Thursday, ending his second stint with the team.

Bradley is hitting .210 in 92 games this season, with three home runs and 29 RBIs.

Drafted 40th overall by Boston in 2011, Bradley made his debut for the club in 2013 and then helped the Sox win the World Series in 2018.

He agreed to a two-year, $24m deal with the Brewers in March 2021. He played just one season with Milwaukee, who traded him to Boston in December.

The 32-year-old Bradley is batting .228 in 1,098 major league games, with 107 home runs and 434 RBIs.
