MLB: Blue Jays v. Guardians postponed due to rain

CLEVELAND — Friday’s game between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Cleveland Guardians has been postponed due to rain.

This is already the Guardians’ fourth game to be postponed this season due to poor weather conditions. Friday’s meeting was postponed three and a half hours before it started.

The two teams will play a doubleheader Saturday beginning at 2:10 p.m. at Progressive Field. Kevin Gausman was scheduled to start for the Blue Jays on Friday against Shane Bieber for the Guardians.

The Guardians defeated the Blue Jays 6-5 on Steven Kwan’s first Major League homer on Thursday in Game 1 of the series. The Guardians have won five of their last six games after going on a seven-game losing streak.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Alejandro Kirk have homered for the Blue Jays, who have lost three of their last four games.
