MLB: Abraham Toro takes part in the Astros’ comeback in the 9th round
The New York Yankees collapsed in the ninth inning as the Houston Astros scored six points to win 8-7 on Sunday.
The Yankees had taken a comfortable lead at first glance in the eighth inning with a three-run homerun from Gary Sanchez. He then carried the mark to 7-2 New York.
Chas McCormick closed the lead to three runs in the ninth inning with a double. Having drawn only one walk in three batting appearances earlier in the day, Quebecer Abraham Toro kept his team’s hopes alive while he too had a productive double.
A few hitters later, Jose Altuve played the hero by ending the game with his 20th homer of the season. Chad Green suffered loss for the Yankes.
