Mid-Ohio - Meyer Shank, victory or nothing

Back in the premier class of IMSA, the Meyer Shank Racing does not deserve. Fourth in the 24 Hours of Daytona at the end of January for its debut with the Acura ARX-05, it secured a third place at the 12 Hours of Sebring in March.

A bitter-tasting podium, for the simple reason that the No. 60 of Olivier Pla-Dane Cameron-Juan Pablo Montoya could have won without a final messed up refueling.

This weekend, it is on its soil, in Ohio, that the third round of the IMSA is held, the first of the year offering a sprint format of 2:40. And what better than a home race to unlock your victory counter?

» I can’t wait to ride in Mid-Ohio, especially as it will be a first for me on this track, said Olivier Pla. But we had the opportunity to test here, so much so that I had the chance to learn the track, which I appreciate. Third place in Sebring was a good result, but we want more. «

His teammate Dane Cameron, who signed two podiums on the Lexington circuit with the Acura ARX-05 (winner in 2019 and 2nd in 2018 with Team Penske), assures for his part that “ Mid-Ohio should be a place where we can continue the momentum started by our podium at Sebring. I know the ARX-05 is at ease on this track, so I see a good opportunity to secure our first victory. «

The first free practice session is scheduled for today, Friday May 14, at 10:30 p.m. French time.
