Michael Pezzetta in hot water

Montreal Canadiens forward Michael Pezzetta will have to explain his blow to the head of TJ Oshie, the National Hockey League (NHL) player safety department announced on Sunday.

The streak in question came with just over four minutes remaining in the third period as the score was 7-4 in favor of the Washington Capitals on Saturday. The Ontarian received a minor penalty. Oshie was unhurt as he scored his 10th goal of the season on the ensuing power play.

In his first NHL season, Pezzetta scored five goals and eight points in 47 games. He has also had 74 penalty minutes and is posting a -8 differential so far.
