For its first official match of the 2020-2021 season, FC Barcelona led by the duo Ansu Fati – Lionel Messi easily dominated Villarreal 4-0 on Sunday at Camp Nou in the context of the third day of La Liga.
After an eventful summer marked by the abortive departure of Messi, the transfers of numerous locker room managers and the motion of censure that threatens the management, the Barça of the new coach Ronald Koeman succeeded in his comeback thanks to a double from Ansu Fati (15th , 20th), a penalty from Messi (34th), and a goal against his camp from Pau Torres (45th).
Ronaldo saves Juventus

The second goal of the evening for Ronaldo, and already his third in two league days, which leaves him alone at the top of the scorers standings.
Reassembled after their cruel initial defeat on the green carpet against Hellas Verona for having aligned a non-registered player, the Giallorossi had however so far gained the ascendancy over a borrowed Juve, where Alvaro Morata, already starting point only five days later his return to Turin, was transparent until his exit shortly before the hour mark.
Frenchman Jordan Veretout, a man in the shadows whose role in the evening was above all to stop Juve’s launches, this time showed himself in full light: he first snatched a penalty – for a blocked shot the hand by Rabiot, warned the first time on the spot – and transformed (31st); then he went up all the way just before the break to go and conclude a final Roman counter-attack (45 + 1e).
Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo had already equalized for the first time by also obtaining a penalty for a hand from Pellegrini (44th). Before repeating in the 69th, receiving a cross from Danilo, while Rabiot had left his to ten, due to a second yellow card for a late tackle (62nd).
Juve turned their backs late in the game to save this point, not sorry to get away so easily.
Edin Dzeko, back at the forefront of the Roman attack a few days after having to give up his hopes of a transfer to the Bianconeri, will regret the two big missed opportunities in the second half, including a shot on the post while the entire defense of Juve seemed beaten (56th).
Paris smiles, Lyon in slow motion
Paris SG has chained a third success in a row in the French Championship on Sunday on the lawn of the poorly classified Reims (2-0) with a double from the Argentinian Mauro Icardi who had not scored since the end of February.
The success at the Auguste-Delaune stadium, where the capital club had not won for seven years in the Championship, allows the vice-champions of Europe to return to a point behind the third Montpellier and return to Marseille (9th) which is one unit less.
Earlier, uninspired Lyonnais again gave up points in L1, where they have not won since their opening match on August 28 against Dijon. But Rudi Garcia’s players at least had the merit of equalizing by Léo Dubois (74th) after the sublime opening score of Yoane Wissa (63rd).
The partners of Memphis Depay, top scorer of L1 left on the bench at kickoff, stagnate in tenth place with two points behind Marseille, a great rival they receive next Sunday.

James Maddison added a sublime strike in the opposite skylight (4-1, 77th) and Youri Tielemans added a third penalty (5-2, 88th) – Vardy was out – to extinguish the semblance of hope born of Nathan’s goal Ake (4-2, 84th).
