Mercato PSG – Nuno Mendes (Sporting Portugal) will join, Pablo Sarabia does the opposite

If you thought that PSG would sit idly by for the last day of the transfer window, it’s missed. After securing the presence of Kylian Mbappé for the coming season, the Parisian club decided to complete a little more an XXL squad. While the return to the highest level of Juan Bernat on the left side of the defense is not yet a certainty, Leonardo has chosen to bet on a bright prospect in Portugal: Nuno Mendes.

Author of an XXL season with Sporting at just 19 years old, the left side enjoyed a very good rating on the market, especially since his presence in the Portuguese list at the Euro. Very offensive, he could stick to the Parisian needs, if by chance Mauricio Pochettino let himself be tempted by a three-element defense with two pistons on the side. The young Portuguese will commit to a loan with an option to buy between 40 and 50 million according to RMC and L’Equipe. The loan should however be paid according to Fabrizio Romano, up to 7 million euros.

But this is not the only move between the two clubs. Disappointing last year and barred by XXL competition, Pablo Sarabia goes the opposite way as part of a dry loan. Despite an interesting rating in Spain after his Euro, the former Sevilla FC had not yet found a taker. In Portugal, he should find playing time and especially allow PSG to save his salary. A win-win deal.
