Mehmet Zeki Celik snubs Fiorentina and signs with Roma

Turkish defender Mehmet Zeki Celik will play in Italy next season. But it’s not on the side of Fiorentina. It is ultimately at Roma that the former Lille player will continue his career.

Lille defender Mehmet Zeki Celik will continue his career at Roma. The Italian club has reached an agreement with the Mastiffs for his transfer. Roma have paid 7 million euros and should pay bonuses including 15% of the price of their next sale to the French club. The player should receive two million euros per year plus bonuses. The former Istanbulspor player therefore opted for the club in the Italian capital while Fiorentina had made a much more generous offer.
