McLaren confirms 2023 trio and new management team


The Arrow McLaren Racing SP team will increase to three full-time cars in 2023 and therefore confirms its trio of drivers as well as a new team management to carry out this project.

Heading into the 2023 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season, Gavin Ward, who joined the team last July as Director of Track Engineering, will take on the role of Race Director at Arrow McLaren SP. Brian Barnhart, who is new to the McLaren Racing family, will serve as the team’s managing director.

In the role of Race Director, Gavin will lead the technical performance team comprised of Max Neyron (Director of Operations), Nick Snyder (Director of Performance) and Billy Vincent (Director of Competition), who will collectively drive future performance of the racing team for the 2023 season and beyond.

Pato O’Ward’s engineer for the #5 Chevrolet Arrow McLaren SP is still being finalized, while Billy will retain his radio role with Felix Rosenqvist for the #6 Chevrolet Arrow McLaren SP, and Brian will be in the alongside Alexander Rossi and the n°7 Chevrolet Arrow McLaren SP.
