Maxime Soulet in the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux!

The August Porsche Addiction presented, this Saturday in Lasne, the copious “racing” program of this new structure directed by Lionel Hansen and Renaud Jamoul.

In addition to its Track Days program and a few appearances with their Historic Porsches, the team will have two programs, one in rally with six BRC events for Cédric Cherain who will aim for the RGT title with a brand new Porsche 997 GT3 RS.

But the surprise of the day came from the announcement of the participation of ex-official Bentley driver Maxime Soulet in the Porsche Carrera Benelux at the controls of a 992 GT3 Cup.

 » If we want to demonstrate our know-how at Porsche level, the Carrera Cup Benelux is a mustexplains coordinator Renaud Jamoul. August will be the only French-speaking team taking part in this competition officially recognized by Porsche Motorsport, and with Maxime Soulet, we have the firm intention of finishing in the leading group and claiming the win. This is by no means an isolated project, since the objective is to field a second car in the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux from 2023, and why not eventually, to discover the prestigious Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup as part of the Grands Formula 1 prizes! »

For his part, Maxime Soulet admits that he did not hesitate for long when Lionel Hansen presented the project to him… “ I have always been attracted by the Carrera Cup and the Supercuprecognizes the pilot. These are great races, with very nice cars. They’re quite different from the GT3s I’ve driven in the past, and you’ll have to spit in your hands to be ahead. But in this project, everything holds together, and I’m really looking forward to attacking the championship. Especially in such a context… »

We are happy that Max, absent from GT3 events this year, was able to bounce back with a serious program which will see him once again climb to the top steps of the podium.
