Maxi Rolón, player of Barça’s junior team, dies in a road accident

PARIS, May 15 (Benin News) –
Argentinian footballer Maximiliano Rolón, 27, died in a traffic accident on Saturday, a player who trained at Barça’s youth academy between 2010 and 2016.
« Dismayed by the death of Maxi Rolón (1995), young football player of FC Barcelona between 2010 and 2016. We express our deepest condolences and all our support to his family. May he rest in peace,” FC Barcelona wrote on social media.
As the Argentinian Diario Olé reports, the accident, which is under investigation, happened on the national road 33, at the height of Pujato, while traveling to Rosario, and also cost the life of one of Maxi’s brothers, Leonardo.
Rolón, who won gold at the 2015 South American Under-20 Championship, trained at Barça and made his debut for the reserve team. Then, the Argentine player went through Santos in Brazil, Arsenal de Sarandí, Coquimbo in Chile, Al-Diwaniya SC in Iraq and Fuerza Amarilla in Ecuador.
