Max Domi would not be the Seattle section of the Blue Jackets
Max Domi will remain with the Columbus Blue Jackets for the time being.
Defenseman Gavin Bayreuther will be the Seattle Kraken’s choice against Columbus, according to Frank Seravalli.
Slight surprise from #CBJ. The choice is not Max Domi.#SeaKraken will select D Gavin Bayreuther of Columbus.@DFOHockey

Domi was acquired by the Blue Jackets in the Montreal Canadiens’ last offseason in exchange for Josh Anderson. In his first season at Columbus, Domi scored nine goals and 24 points in 54 games, far less than the 17 and 28 goals he scored in 2019-20 and 2018-19 with the Habs.
Gavin Bayreuther is definitely an off-screen name.
He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Dallas Stars in 2017. He appeared in 19 games for the Stars over three seasons with the organization. Last offseason, he signed a one-year contract with Columbus and played nine games with the Blue Jackets. Bayreuther was very effective for the Columbus branch in the AHL, amassing 12 points in 14 games.
